tyntec announces complete coverage in China

tyntec's enterprise quality SMS services now reach all 600 million Chinese mobile subscribers

London, February 3, 2010 - Mobile messaging operator tyntec (www.tyntec.com) today announces that it has completed its coverage of mainland China, meaning that it can now offer connectivity into all of the country's 600 million mobile phone subscribers. The announcement further enhances tyntec's global coverage, giving its clients even greater geographical reach through a single provider.

China has traditionally been a challenging market for overseas companies looking to access its mobile users, with complex technical, legal and cultural issues to be addressed. By using tyntec's reliable and easy-to-connect access to the mobile space in the region, international companies can unlock the potential of the Chinese marketplace for mobile advertising, alerts, notifications and reminder messages, among many other applications.

Michael Kowalzik, CEO of tyntec, said: "China remains a challenge in many ways for most overseas companies when it comes to network access. With our new complete, easy access into all networks on the Chinese mainland we take away this burden for our customers. By enabling functionality like delivery receipts across all Chinese mobile subscribers we're helping companies across the world to deploy advanced, reliable and cost effective mobile messaging to more than 600 million Chinese subscribers."

China is one of the fastest growing telecommunications markets in the world, with monthly net additions in excess of 10 million subscribers (data provided by Research and Markets), this scale of growth is second only to India (data provided by MIC).

The completion of its Chinese coverage now gives tyntec access to more than 500 mobile networks in more than 180 countries across the world.
